The 2025 lineup drops the two HEMI options in favor of two new Hurricane powertrains featuring a standard and high-output variation. Unlike the 2024 Ram 1500 lineup, the most powerful engine option is available in many models in the trim lineup.

The 2024 Ram 1500 boasts the 3.6-liter V-6 standard in all trims except the Limited, which has the 5.2-liter V-8 as standard, and the TRX, which runs on the Supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 exclusively. Almost all trims with the V-6 can be optioned with the 5.2-liter V-8.

For 2025, the 3.6-liter V-6 is standard in the Tradesman, Tradesman HFE, and Big Horn / Lone Star. The 3.0-liter I-6 is standard in the Warlock, Laramie, and Rebel, while the High-Output 3.0-liter V-6 is standard in the RHO, Limited, Limited Longhorn, and Tungsten. Only the Tradesman and Big Horn / Lone Star can be optioned with the 3.0-liter I-6.
